FLUENC is the initial letters of FLow in Urban ENvironments and Concentration of airborne materials

Welcome to my personal webpage.

I am Dr. George C. Efthimiou, a Senior Research Scientist and Mechanical Engineer with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. With over 15 years of experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and atmospheric dispersion modelling, I have dedicated my career to advancing our understanding of complex environmental flows.

My primary research interests focus on the analysis of wind flow fields and the dispersion of airborne materials within intricate urban and industrial environments. To date, I have contributed to more than 20 international and EU-funded research projects, and my work is documented in over 130 scientific publications with significant global impact.

In addition to my research, I am the founder of FLUENC, a company dedicated to developing cutting-edge CFD software. By integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC), we provide innovative solutions to pressing challenges in the fields of energy, environment, and sustainable development.
